What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically based approach using specific techniques and principles to bring about change in one's behavior.

  • ABA helps to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

  • ABA can improve social skills and increase functional communication.

  • ABA aims for generalization of skills so your child can function more independently across a variety of settings.

  • ABA fosters increased independence in safety skills and daily living skills.

  • ABA breaks down complex skills into smaller components in order to reach larger goals.
